Rachel Rosenberg, MSW, LISW
Hi, I'm Rachel! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker, and I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, families, and adults. I have over 10 years of experience in behavioral health and addictions and have practiced in a variety of settings--from outpatient therapy to residential treatment--each of which has contributed to my unique approach to therapy. Anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and other mental health struggles can affect so many aspects of life; one can feel overwhelmed trying to figure out where to begin to address these issues. I specialize in helping individuals and families learn the skills to navigate these struggles and improve daily functioning.
I believe in an individualized approach to therapy. Rather than emphasizing struggles/weaknesses and attempting to change them, my approach identifies and utilizes strengths to improve daily functioning. I center interventions and treatment on individual/family needs and preferences rather than utilizing the same treatment model for every client. Working in residential treatment, I had the flexibility to facilitate sessions in non-traditional settings such as taking a walk outside or just sitting in the warm sunshine. When I moved to the traditional outpatient setting, I truly missed facilitating sessions in this way, and I found some clients felt more comfortable and at ease meeting in nature rather than feeling cooped up in a sterile, medical-type setting. For this reason, I offer sessions outdoors, overlooking the 4 acres at Hidden Strengths Therapy. Of course, there is an office as well for those unpleasant Ohio weather days or for those who feel more comfortable meeting indoors.
